Pick what it is, when it is, and who can see it — host controls and visibility live on the same screen as the category picker, so making a plan is one pass instead of a wizard. Anything you create shows up on the map and in the calendars of the people you shared it with.
Nearby plans collapse into a count you can tap, so a busy neighbourhood reads as one cluster rather than a pile of overlapping pins. The basemap is the app's own, not stock map tiles — the whole surface is dark by design.

A month grid with an agenda rail beside it, plus a weekly summary of what you actually did. When you have an evening open, you can broadcast that to the people you're connected to instead of scrolling for something to join.
Communities, groups and teams each get their own space, with channels for general chat, shares, announcements and logistics. Stewards keep them running, and a community can surface suggested plans to its members rather than waiting for one person to organise everything.

Your profile carries your identity, your bio tags, and lifetime stats built from things you turned up to — not a follower count. The drawer behind it is the fast path to creating a plan, asking Scout, or jumping into a hub.

The safety check lists what's currently visible about you, what location permission you've granted, and gives you a single action that locks your privacy down without hunting through settings. Location sharing is something you turn on for a plan, not a default you have to remember to revoke.
Every tile can be small, medium or large, dragged into a new position, and restyled for density and layout. If you don't want to arrange anything, four presets — Blended, Default, Focus and Full day — set the whole board in one tap.

ReCreate is a company, not a charity — this is support for the work, not a charitable gift. Stripe’s payment confirmation is the only receipt, and a monthly one runs until you cancel it.

Fair questions
Is ReCreate free?
Yes — the map, events, groups, chat and calendar are free, and stay free. A subscriber tier is planned on top of that for the AI tiles on your Today dashboard (a smart catch-up, plan suggestions, a morning brief). Pricing isn't decided yet.
What cities does it work in?
It isn't tied to a city. The map works wherever you are, and it gets better as the people you'd actually go out with start using it.
Is ReCreate available outside the US?
We're starting in the US — that's where the waitlist and the early rollout are focused, not a technical restriction. Nothing in the app itself checks or blocks by country today.
Do I have to host to use it?
Not at all. Most people start by joining. Hosting is one screen when you're ready.
What platforms will it be on, and when?
iOS first. Android and web are behind it, in that order, with no firm dates yet — the waitlist asks which one you want so we only email you once yours is ready.
What actually happens when I join the waitlist?
You're written to a real list right away — this isn't a form that goes nowhere. We don't have outbound email running yet, so there's no instant confirmation; the first email you get from us is the one that matters, when your platform opens up.
What do you do with my data?
We collect what it takes to run the map and the social features — your profile, the activities you create or RSVP to, and, only with your permission, your device location. You can turn location off anytime in your device settings, and you can delete your account and your data yourself, from Settings in the app. The full breakdown is in our Privacy Policy.
